Privacy Policy
Womack Memorial CME Church (“the church,” “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used and who can see it.
## Information you give us
When you use our contact, new member or prayer request forms we collect only what you type in: for example your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method and your message. Prayer requests may be submitted without a name or contact details.
## How we use it
We use your information only to respond to you, follow up as you requested, and care for our congregation. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
## Prayer requests
Prayer requests are treated as sensitive. They are encrypted when stored, are never shown publicly, and are not included in email subject lines or website analytics. Only church personnel authorized by the Pastor (for example the Pastor and designated pastoral-care leaders) can read them. If you ask us to share your request with the prayer team, it may be shared with members of that team. We will do our best to keep requests private, but we cannot promise absolute confidentiality — please do not include information you are not comfortable sharing with those people. If you tell us about an immediate danger, please call 911.
## Online giving
Gifts are processed by our payment provider (PayPal). Your card or bank details are entered on the provider’s secure site and are never sent to or stored on this website. We receive a record of the gift (amount, fund and the provider’s transaction ID) for our giving records.
## Live stream and videos
Our live stream and sermon videos are hosted by YouTube and/or Facebook. When you play an embedded video, that service may set cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy.
## Cookies and analytics
This website uses one essential cookie for security when you submit a form or sign in to the staff dashboard. If we use website analytics, we use a privacy-respecting service that does not track you across other websites, and analytics are never loaded on the prayer request page.
## Security and retention
Information is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored on a protected server. Access is limited to authorized church staff and volunteers with their own accounts. Prayer requests are automatically deleted after a period set by the church (one year by default). Other form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable church records.
## Your choices
You may ask us to correct or delete information you submitted by contacting the church office.
## Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we ask that children do not submit personal information without a parent or guardian.
